Join Us For Our First Annual Santa Fun Run/Walk

December 17th, 2014 | Posted by admin in News - (0 Comments)

Bring family and friends to South Mountain on December 25th at 12pm. Be sure to dress in Christmas attire and join us for a run/hike through South Mountain trails. You can also be part of the secret Santa gift exchange. Just let Coach Rodriguez know you wish to participate.

We’ll be meeting at our usual spot at the ramadas (see locations page on website). Hope to see you there!

Please consider reaching out to others to get tax credit donations for cross country and track.  This is the best time of year to ask because donors will get their money back within a couple of months.  You can use the attached form to make your cross country donation. Individuals can do $200; couples can do $400.  Tax credit donations directly reduce the donor’s AZ tax liability so it’s like making a no-cost donation. You can take checks/forms to the bookstore through 12/19/14 or postmark it by 12/31/14.  We’re still offering a free camp chair for each $200 donation. We really appreciate your support. Tax Credit 2014 Cross Country Form

Sponsors are needed for our Family Fitness 5k Event to be held January, 25, 2015.  We are offering free race entries as an incentive to individuals who secure a sponsor for the race.  We have 4 levels of sponsorship ranging from $100 to $1000. If you secure a sponsor, you will receive 1 free race entry for each $100 received from a sponsor.  Each sponsor level offers a range of benefits.  At a minimum, each sponsor will have their logo on the back of our race shirt for approximately 500 participants, space for an advertisement in our participant goodie bag, and have a booth at our race expo.  This is a great opportunity to reach our race participants, their families, race volunteers, and two schools – Pueblo Middle School and Corona del Sol.  Sponsors can choose which school they want to support – in our case Corona Cross Country.  This money will go directly to our cross country team. Please email for full details on sponsor levels/benefits.  Deadline for sponsor logos is 12/31/14.

The 7th Annual Family Fitness 5K/1.3 Mile Running Event will take place on Sunday, 1/25/2015.  This will be the 1st year our cross country team will be a beneficiary.  Please sign up for the race and indicate Corona CC as your preference for the proceeds.  Last year the event had approximately 500 registrations.  It’s well organized and a great value. We need at least 10 more volunteers from the Corona Cross Country team for the December 7th Hot Chocolate Race in Scottsdale. Our group will earn $10 per volunteer and each volunteer will get a very nice hooded sweatshirt.  We volunteered as a group last year and had a great time.  It’s a fun way to raise money for our team.  Here’s the signup link.

This signup link is being used for two non-profit groups;  add your name in the 2nd column for Corona Cross Country.

Thank you!!
